I learned early in my leadership journey that the only way you are going to accomplish the outcomes you are trying to accomplish was if other people wanted you to. You need those you are leading to buy in and contribute to reaching the desired outcome. That's how The Remarkable Manager model was created.
My desire was to manage the business, but I needed the team, and team was looking at how I led myself to determine their level of buy-in. A lot of what the team could see in me came from my guiding behaviors.
